This year marks 100 years since the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 (Taisho 12) caused severe damage to the Kanto region.

This exhibition introduces the Great Kanto Earthquake and its recovery, earthquake disaster prevention research over the past 100 years, and current disaster countermeasures and challenges. This exhibition considers the relationship between people, nature, science and technology, and the importance of learning from the past and passing it on to the future.
